P2P
With the rise of technology, the Internet has made it possible for people to share information with others. File sharing is characterized to be an act of making material available through the computer network. Files can be categorized as entertainment such as movies, music, games, etc. can be shared with others through the use of a computer or any device. A common form of file sharing is P2P. P2P, also known as “Peer-to-Peer” which allows people to communicate with others, hence the word “peer”. Networks such as “BitTorrent” is known to be one of the best P2P programs, as stated in Wired Clive Thompson’s “The BitTorrent Effect”. The platform allows its users to download and upload data such as music or movies which eventually led to huge lawsuits by major production companies.
