Is Social Networking Better or Worse than the Real Thing?

Social networking has dominated our modern society since the rise of technology. It has become so prominent in our culture and many people have different views on it. Some might believe that social networking is better than the real thing which is traditional networking. I would like to answer questions such as why most younger generations are struggling with traditional networking, is there a reason behind it? There are advantages to social networking but also disadvantages. The same goes for traditional networking as well. I hope to further explain both sides of each category. Finding real-life examples through research would be beneficial as it would show how both categories affect people in day to day lives and what the aftermath was after they experienced it.

  1. I think the major issue our generation faces is that we are so addicted to our social media, that we don't have enough practice with normal, face-to-face interactions. My personal example of this would be when I am able to say something on text, but not to that persons face.
